Dear Dental Family,
I heard some disturbing news yesterday. One of my business mentors lost almost her whole family during the earthquake in Turkey. The few family members that remained were left hopeless without any supplies and help.
I felt devastated. This was not something you hear everyday.
My mentor's name is Sabri Blumberg. She is the Deputy Chief Operating Officer at MGE Management Experts and was the one person who helped my practice stay afloat during the COVID 19 crisis. She gave me and my staff hope when I felt lost and hopeless. Because of her and her team at MGE, my office and the office of all my dental colleagues were able to stay open to service our patients.
I knew I had to do something. I just could not sit and DO NOTHING.
I am also part of an exclusive MGE Alumni group called the ACEs. This group had its monthly Zoom meeting last night where the Doctors and Office managers from all the top dental offices in North America were in attendance. Last night 267 people were in attendance.
The Executive Director of the ACEs, Dr. Sumbul Naqvi was also feeling exactly what I had been feeling. Something needed to be done. We, as a group, decided to have a fundraiser during the meeting. Within less than 2 hours our group raised $140,000. This has probably never been done on a Zoom call. But we did it!
By the end of the call I was blown away! We were all crying happy tears. When Sabri found out what we had done she said, “ This will not only help my family but the whole town.”
I would like to thank my AWESOME team, as without them I would not be able to service my patients so well. And most of all I would like to thank all my patients, who have supported my small business all these years. Without your trust and support I would never be able to make such a contribution. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!
Lots of love,
Dr. Gianino & Team
Lunenburg, MA —Dr. David D. Gianino joined the Boys and Girls Clubs in their area to attack illiteracy. According to Reading is Fundamental, there is a literacy crisis in America today with twenty-five million children in the U.S. who cannot read proficiently (analysis of NAEP—National Assessment of Educational Progress—test scores).
Dr. Gianino, having served his community for over 30 years, was quoted as saying, “This is an outrage! Only someone who doesn’t care about this city and our children would keep this quiet. Something should be done about this!”
During a special leadership event held in Florida, several business owners joined forces and decided to band together to do something about this.
They started by sending over 1,000 books to Boys and Girls Clubs in their communities. The mission of Boys and Girls Clubs is to enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens, especially those in need. These leaders support the vision of this national network of world-class clubs putting hope and safety within reach of every young person, and putting them on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, learning good character and citizenship, and living a healthy lifestyle.
Reading is a cornerstone skill for our youth!
Dr. Gianino said, “We want to do our part. And we want everyone in the surrounding towns to know about this program and support it. Boys and Girls Clubs are leading the way in showing us that something can be done about it; something can be done about illiteracy by everyone pitching in.” And further stated, “I believe that children and young adults who are shown what’s possible through literature can achieve their dreams. What’s more, receiving the gift of reading really makes them happy and ignites their imagination. I love giving them this opportunity.”
Dr. David D. Gianino Graduated from Worcester State University, 1986. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Loyola University of Chicago School of Dental Surgery, 1990 and did a One-year residency at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center.

He is a member of the American Dental Association and Massachusetts Dental Society, member and past officer and current member of the Wachusett District Dental Society.
Dr. Gianino wants his patients to understand their care. He will patiently answer questions so patients can make informed decisions.
He is passionate about education and works together with patients on their oral health and overall well-being. Whether it’s cosmetic improvements, implant restorations or a solution for a complicated dental situation, Dr. Gianino and his team are friendly, supportive and thorough in their approach to dental health.
